Birdman Was A Guest On ESPN’s ‘First Take’

Business acumen aside, both DJ Khaled (and his #DJKhaledCurse) and Birdman are the absolute last people anybody should take sporting advice from. After suggesting that the San Antonio Spurs were cheating in the 2013-2014 NBA Finals (they weren’t), and that the Miami Heat would make the 2015-2016 Finals (they didn’t), Khaled’s favorite team has been hexed since.

Meanwhile, the Bird provides some of the oddest hot takes I’ve heard in recent memory, never mind his penchant for saying things that make you go “Hmmmm…” Take his Highly Questionable appearance, where he says he sleeps on a million dollars… while facing a massive lawsuit from Lil Wayne. Today (July 28th) he made his way to the new-look First Take, where he spoke to Stephen A. Smith, Molly Qerim and Max Kellerman about beats, rhymes and sports. He says that Heat president Pat Riley should have paid whatever it takes to keep Dwyane Wade… but refuses to pay Wayne. He also said that Drew Brees should collect a check from the New Orleans Saints… but refuses to pay Wayne.

The sit-down was a hilariously ironic, glorious thing to watch.
