Connecticut rapper Chris Webby is joined by Jarren Benton and Locksmith on “Suicide Squad,” which is inspired by the movie coming out Friday but (unfortunately) won’t land on the movie’s soundtrack.
Combined, the three take on the personas of Deadshot (Benton), The Joker (Webby) and El Diablo (Locksmith) as they rampage as the rebels of the rap game.
And to be honest? “Suicide Squad” does a better job capturing the characteristics of the villains than the movie and most of the songs from the soundtrack have so far. (Kehlani’s “Gangsta” is a pretty good exception.)
