Travi$ Scott was supposed to released his new album Bird In The Trap Sing McKnight last week. But in the days leading up to August 5, there was little to no promotion of the album in terms of new singles, videos or even tweets. (If I had a guess, he would’ve dropped last week had Frank Ocean a certain someone not planned to drop — and then didn’t.)

Monday evening, though, the Houston artist gave an update on the project. He said the project was ready to drop Friday, but he had to move “the launch of .WAV” until this Friday, August 12th.

What exactly is .WAV? The details aren’t exactly clear, but Travi$ let loose a poster on Instagram. The event is free and it’s “somewhere in LA,” and the event will premiere “Pick Up The Phone” and “90210” — assuming to be music videos for his and Young Thug’s single as well as the song from his last album, Rodeo.

He finished the note, “TUNE IN ON THE 12th. AND U SHALL BE GUIDED.”

Based on all the available information, it doesn’t seem Scott’s project will come out this Friday, either, but fans will at least have more information on when it will, most likely with new content, too.
