Travi$ Scott was slated to release the follow-up to his debut album Rodeo, Birds in the Trap Sing McKnight, back on August 5th. However, like Frank Ocean he fudged up the release and he project never arrived.

However, producer Mike Dean revealed that the project had actually been completed, but was pushed back to coincide with “the launch of .WAV.”

Now, as La Flame preps for that event he has announced that he will have soon debut a Beats 1 Radio show. In an interview with Zane Lowe, the show (aka, “the launch of .WAV”) is a product of his recent deal with Apple Music. The show is set to debut on Friday, August 12th.

“My album is coming. I’m probably gonna release the date on my show. I feel like it’s a very good body of work,” he said. “I’m working on some of the craziest videos of all time. I have a video coming out Hype Williams for ‘90210.’”

So there you have it: no release date for Birds, but a radio show and a free party in Los Angeles to celebrate it.
