This one’s a monster.

Ever since I’ve gotten involved posting Tim Westwood’s throwback freestyles, I don’t think I’ve ever seen one reach nearly an hour long. Then again, most crews don’t run as deep with rappers as the Wu-Tang Clan did in 1997, though.

Ol’ Dirty Bastard’s raunchy introduction set the tone for the 52-MINUTE freestyle that had the likes of Masta Killa, Method Man and U-God spitting off-the-top bars over various beats spun by RZA.

There’s no way I could listen to this whole thing before sharing it, but just skimming through, it sounded like Method Man and ODB — rest his soul — really got into a groove around the 35-minute mark.

Listen to the whole session below, and revisit previous freestyles from Wu-Tang members like Raekwon, ODB and Method.
