Who else misses the days of heading to Tower Records on Tuesdays and purchasing the week’s latest maxi-singles on CD, or better yet, cassingles? Gone are those days, and gone are the days of actual maxi-singles in general.
Fortunately, Sacramento duo Keno and Jackson Nakanishi have been feeling a bit nostalgic, deciding to bring them back with their latest release, “Mean Mugh/Juice.” And in ways, there’s an eerie similarity between the same working relationship Blu and Exile shared on their critically acclaimed debut album Below the Heavens, with Jackson providing the dusty production and Keno bobbing and weaving throughout each track with such ease.
