It’s been a long, five years since Rasheed Chappell released his last album, Future Before Nostalgia (grab it on iTunes) and two short years since putting out official new music — but the New Jeruz emcee is finally ready to let the world hear his sophomore follow-up, Brick & Mortar.

Rasheed — whom many in rap circles refer to as an emcee’s MC — has been quiet as kept on the secret new project he’s been brewing up with legendary music producer Kenny Dope, and many would be quick to compare the Jersey rapper with Jay Electronica, with similarities in the masses patiently awaiting the hint of any new music, the difference being, Rasheed has never outright said when the album would release — and not follow through.

Recently, Rasheed sat down with Supreme Ultra Radio to speak on the album, his history with Kenny Dope, what the hold up on the new project was, and much more.
