Tory Lanez’s long-awaited debut album, I Told You, finally arrived Friday — only it was overshadowed in many circles by Frank Ocean’s activity on his Apple Music live stream, which bore two new projects, Endless and Blonde.
While early reports indicate Frank Ocean’s Blonde will dominate the Billboard charts this week and debut at No. 1, the No. 2 spot is open for grabs — and a little promotion like a lengthy interview with The Breakfast Club should help.
Over the 45 minutes, Tory talked about meeting Bun B before getting booed offstage in Houston early in his career, meeting Justin Bieber (and getting verified on Twitter the next day because of him), signing to Sean Kingston’s label and, most importantly, they delved into the intricacies of I Told You, including the narrative and topics like abortion he broached over the course of 14 songs.
