Isaiah Rashad is dropping his debut album, The Sun’s Tirade, tonight. His round of press this week has taken him to the Hot 97 studios and The Breakfast Club. Continuing the trend of visiting New York-based radio shows, the Chattanooga resident sits down with Sway on Shade 45 for a lengthy interview.

The last time Isaiah was on the show was when he first signed to Top Dawg three years ago, and Cilvia Demo was in the works, so the two had a lot of catching up to do.

The 45-minute conversation had Zay dissecting various parts of The Sun’s Tirade, from the album’s name to a song named “Rope” (“you either help yourself or hang yourself,” he described the theme of the song), the Chattanooga rap scene, performing at FYF Fest and meeting Lady Gaga last weekend and a lot more.

Right around the 29:20 mark, Rashad digs into Sway’s Five Fingers of Death challenge, where he freestyles over beats from OutKast, Lil Wayne, Kodak Black and more.
