Resurfacing last month, The Seshen are back with the second single from their forthcoming album, Flames & Figures.
After sharing the title-track, the Bay Area collective follow with “Distant Heart” — a dance-ready tune written in response to the devastating loss of a friend.
“It’s about being unable to reach someone who is determined on their path away from you,” Lalin St. Juste says. “In the chorus I’m saying ‘you went too far and I can’t see you, you can’t go on and I can’t reach you’ Now your heart is far away – there’s nothing I can do but let you go.”
Driven by bright synths and an infectious bass line, “Distant Heart” can be heard below. Take a listen and be sure to pre-order Flames & Figures before its October 14th release.
