Teyana Taylor‘s stock has risen — significantly — following her breathtaking appearance in Kanye West’s “Fade” video. Unfortunately, for many (read: White) publications they just wrote her off as just a feature on an MTV show over a decade ago, and not a rather accomplished singer, songwriter and choreographer/dancer.

Taking Kanye West and G.O.O.D. Music’s early Summer ’16 single “Champions,” Teyana adds both her musical sensibilities as well as a stop-motion visual treatment. Shot by Sasha Samsonova, the chanteuse is covered in gold… and not much else.
Her song also comes in the wake of the “Fade” video being freed from its TIDAL chains and now on all major streaming platforms.
