Usher released his eighth album Hard II Love on Friday. There hadn’t been a ton of promotion surrounding the project until the last week — maybe because he was busy promoting his new movie Hands Of Stone at the same time.

After going sneaker shopping with Complex and stopping by The Ellen Show to perform “Crash,” Ursher stopped by The Breakfast Club to dive into the intricacies behind the album and more.

He told stories of link with Master P and paying an ode to entrepreneurship in the South with “No Limit,” mentoring August Alsina, training for his role as Sugar Ray Leonard in Hands Of Stone and forming a relationship with Kyrie Irving as a part-owner of the Cleveland Cavaliers throughout the 45-minute interview.
