Killer Mike & El-P Are Now Video Game Characters

blame it on Patrick Glynn October 6, 2016

At the beginning of September, Killer Mike and El-P — known together as Run The Jewels — released the first sampling from their now-completed Run The Jewels 3 in a Gears of War 4 trailer.

Well, it turns out the partnership runs a little deeper than, “hey, you want to premiere some of our thudding, explosive music in your thudding, explosive game trailer?”

Mike and Jaime will be downloadable, playable characters in Gears of War 4 when the game arrives in stores October 11.

From my understanding of Gears of War, there’s a story mode where you play as a singular person and an online mode where you can play as a multitude of characters, so that’s where you’ll be able to use Killer Mike and El-P.

I sure hope they keep Killer Mike strapped, though. That’s gotta be a requirement for being a character in this game, right?
