Just a day after announcing the Boy Meets World tour set to kick off next year, Drake had to cancel the remainder of the Summer Sixteen tour due to an ankle injury.

Last week, Drake had to cancel a couple shows on on the tour because doctor’s ordered him to stay off the ankle. He said in a statement three of the shows (Philadelphia, Toronto and one of the two Newark shows) had to be postponed while he rested the ankle. It turns out, though, he had to cancel the remaining dates in Brooklyn and the last date in Newark, too.

A representative for Drake released a statement regarding the cancellation.

“Drake suffered a severe ankle injury during the tour which he did his best to power through. By doing this, he made his injury worse. Under doctors orders and to ensure Drake only ever gives fans the performances they deserve, he will be postponing the remaining 3 dates of his Summer Sixteen tour to allow him time to recuperate his ankle injury. Drake’s fans mean the world to him. Seeing their faces and performing his music for them is what he loves to do the most and he can’t wait to get back on stage.”

The dates have yet to be rescheduled, and there’s no word on when those will be announced.

The cancellation seemingly brings a close to Drake’s Summer Sixteen tour, which was was one of the most eventful stories of the summer.

Throughout the tour, Drake worked up a beef with Hot 97, and sent shots toward Joe Budden and Kid Cudi on multiple occasions. He brought out the likes of Lil Wayne, Eminem, J. Cole and others at various show, and his bus got robbed of millions in jewelry while in Arizona.

I’m sure not only his ankle, but his brain, could use a little rest.
