Lauryn Hill was many of the performers at the TiDAL x 10/15 concert over the weekend, joining Beyoncé, JAY Z, Nicki Minaj and others on stage at the Barclays Center in Brooklyn.
Thankfully showing up on time, Ms. Hill performed an updated version of “I Find It Hard to Say (Rebel)” during her set. The song originally appeared on her MTV Unplugged 2.0 live album.
She described the new version as the “same context” as the original, which revolves around social injustice and police brutality — brought on by the shooting of Amadou Diallo — which are brought to the forefront of the social platform even more in the current day.
