NBA star Damian Lillard (or Dame D.O.L.L.A., as he likes to be go by when he’s rapping) put out a surprise album last called The Letter “O” last week, which had a bevy of features from Jamie Foxx, Juvenile, Marsha Ambrosius and more.

The tracklist was highlighted, though, by “Loyal To The Soul” featuring Lil Wayne, where Dame surprisingly kept up with someone who is surely a rap idol.

Unfortunately, due to a dispute with Cash Money (and Birdman), Dame was forced to take Lil Wayne’s verse off his album despite having a proper arrangement with Weezy.

He shared a note on Instagram explaining the situation.

Now, we’re not going to say this is Birdman’s fault, but this is Birdman’s fault. It’s just another step down the road in Lil Wayne’s opinion that he’ll “never work” with Birdman again once he’s rid of his Cash Money deal.

And while the verse may have been taken off various formats, you can still listen to the version with Weezy below.
