Despite not officially release his debut album yet, Jared Evan has been the definition of consistency over the last half decade, writing and producing for the likes of Pharrell, Statik Selektah, Dr. Dre, Rihanna and more all while pushing a consistent stream of solo music.

Off the heels of his !llmind-produced “Big Brother,” he follows with “The End Game,” which features Allan Kingdom. Both songs will land on his new album The Blanket Truth dropping next week.

“The End Game” use the piano-driven, boom-bap beat produced by The Arcitype to delve into fail relationships.

“I wrote the song about a girl I was dating for a while,” Evan told Mass Appeal, who premiered the single. “The relationship eventually started to feel like a game, and it made me question what the point of it even was to begin with. I couldn’t understand what she or even myself wanted the end goal to be. When I wrote it, I wanted the metaphor to be about the music business. I felt as if it was similar to how the music industry operates and how people only desire you when you’re popping. As I’m addressing her throughout the song, I’m also addressing the music industry simultaneously.”
