Before his latest album, Eleven Chuck gets its world-wide release this Veteran’s Day (Nov. 11th), Seattle-based emcee Carl Roe gives both old and new fans a small preview of the project with “S. State St.”
The song’s title alludes to Roe’s “former stomping grounds,” and features production from top-shelf producer Nottz and ill cuts provided by DJ Revolution (of the World Famous Wake Up Show with Sway and King Tech), with Roe (a U.S. Army veteran) channeling David Byrne’s (of Talking Heads fame) infamous opening lines from their smash shit “Once In A Lifetime.”
