How’s this for a sign that you’re getting old: Black Sheep’s breakout single “The Choice Is Yours” turned 25 on October 29th. So, yes kids, that song you’ve heard in Kia commercials, AirHeads spots, NBA Street Vol. 2 and You Got Served is older than you.

Either way, Complex brings back their “Magnum Opus” series — following Nelly’s “Country Grammar” — with a spotlight on the Native Tongue affiliates’ hit song.

In the episode the likes of Black Sheep’s Dres and Mista Lawnge, DJ Red Alert, Posdnuos of De La Soul, Chi-Ali and others are profiled. They speak in depth about the song’s history, Black Sheep’s origins, and how the remix came after they initially disliked the original version. Dres and Lawnge also speak on theie group’s dissolution, reuniting, and how the song finds new life with each passing generation.

And, let’s take a trip down memory lane…
