Mick Jenkins jumped across the pond this week to promote The Healing Component, and amidst the promotion, he stopped by BBC Radio 1 for an interview.
While there, he took part in the radio station’s Piano Sessions series for a pair of performances.
The first was a cover of Jill Scott’s “It’s Love.” (He’s often sited Jill Scott in interviews and in his music as a major influence.) The next was a performance of his album’s outro, “Fucked Up Outro,” which winds up somehow more stellar than the first.
