Despite its generally light-hearted and humorous tone, the November 5th episode of Saturday Night Live had an air of seriousness surrounding it, as some of the sketches and jokes revolved around the upcoming 2016 Presidential election urging viewers to vote. However, the brightest spot of the episode belonged to no cast member, sketch or even the host Benedict Cumberbatch. It belonged to Solange.

Late last night, the younger Knowles made her Saturday Night Live debut as the evening’s guest performer alongside host Doctor Strange.

The 30-year old singer/songwriter, who just recently scored a No. 1 Billboard-charting album with Seat at the Table, was performed “Cranes In the Sky” and “Don’t Touch My Hair” (while joined by joined by Sampha on the latter), with both her mother Tina Knowles-Lawson and big sister Beyoncé proudly watched in support on the sidelines.
