Decades into his colored and highly successful career, and JAY Z is still set to achieve another first.

Alongside possibly becoming the first rapper inducted into the Songwriters Hall Of Fame, Shawn will perform in India for the first time ever, as a part of the country’s inaugural Global Citizen Festival. Happening November 19th, Jay will join the likes of Coldplay — whose frontman, Chris Martin, is the festival’s creative director — as well as singer Demi Lovato and Indian stars A.R. Rahman and Farhan Akhtar.

Like its New York-based predecessor, the festival is free to attendees who participate in a variety of charitable acts for the country.

The concert will go down at Mumbai’s MMRDA Grounds-Bandra Kurla Complex.
