Like Spanx, Uggs for men and gentrification finding a way to turn anything into an “artisanal” and overpriced version of it, Kevin Hart’s rapping alter-ego Chocolate Droppa is really happening.
He signed a recording deal with Motown/Capitol, released a mixtape to accompany his film What Now?, and “battled” Lil Wayne at the 2016 BET Hip Hop Awards.
Hart… er… Droppa now returns with a video from the tape, for his Trey Songz-guested “Push It On Me.” In an attempt to dethrone Trey as the next “Mr. Steal Your Girl,” the two invite a host of women — and, apparently, Shiva from The Walking Dead — to a house party to determine who’s the “true sexy icon.”
Seriously. And the song samples Carl Thomas’ “I Wish,” because why not.
