Akashik Records and Stones Throw have teamed up for a 7-inch vinyl release, combining Joyce Wrice, Kay Franklin and Mndsgn for “Rocket Science.”
The calming single fits the dusty and soulful mood of much of LA artists’ music as Wrice and Franklin harmonize about how down-to-Earth they feel when they’re around each other.
The B-side of the vinyl is “Play Pretend,” which Stones Throw describes as “a downtempo boogie anthem portraying the games played in the finding of a new love.”
