This will probably be some of the best news all week.

Prior to his acclaimed guest duties on Saturday Night Live it had been over eleven years since Dave Chappelle last appeared on television, unceremoniously walking off of the set of his own eponymously-titled show in 2005. He eventually returned to his stand-up roots, headlining festivals and routinely selling out shows across the country.

Now, Netflix dropped a bomb today (November 21st), announcing that three new Chappelle comedy specials are on the horizon.

While Netflix has not announced any dates for these specials, it will be a highly anticipated return for Dave, whose last televised stand-up was the Showtime special For What It’s Worth in 2004.

Alongside Luke Cage, Stranger Things and the upcoming series The Defenders and Iron Fist, Netflix is gearing up to have an eventful 2017.
