10 Summers signee and protégé of DJ Mustard, London-reared songstress Ella Mai captured the DopeHouse’s attention with her debut EP Time. She now bookends the year with her second EP of 2016, Change.
Described as “a heartfelt throwback to ’90s R&B,” the five-track project is produced in its entirety by Mustard. Focusing primarily on love, relationships and the trials and tribulations that come with the two, the groove-laden EP is lead by “10,000 Hours.” However, listeners shouldn’t sleep on the sonically entertaining “Who Knew” as well.
