We’ve all seen it, we’ve all cackled uncontrollably at it, and some have even put their own spin on it.
But leave it to Snoop Dogg to try to make a quick buck off of it.
Not that I’m feeling a ways about it, of course. If you can turn everything, from Brazilian rum to Martha Stewart, into a lucrative venture, why wouldn’t you?
With veteran West Coast producer DJ Battlecat providing an assist, Snoop re-reinvents gospel legend Shirley Caesar’s “Hold my Mule” into a club-leaning track. Keep in mind that this isn’t the first time (or even the first time in 2016) that Snoop has done this; he recently upgraded Cameo’s “She’s Strange” into his take on the “Kill ‘Em Wit The Shoulders” dance.
Hawdwerk’s version is still the king, however…
