San Antionio’s Black3Theory heads North as he grabs an assist from Justin Walsh of Illinois-Indiana rap collective Famsquad (who released their video for “Debo” earlier this year).
On the trunk-rattling single “Dat Shit,” the duo of Black3Theory and Walsh mix their respective regional sounds — the slow, bass-y chopped and screwed sounds of Texas mixed with a little midwestern flavor, serving as both a bonus cut to Black3Theory’s In Plain Sight EP (out next year) as well as the closing track on the upcoming Retro Fest EP, out Dec. 24th.
