Supa Bwe – “Lil Doggy”

There are some artists that have developed a distinct sound or, by nature of a song title, you can tell what an artist will talk about in a song before you hear it. But I’ve come to learn to have zero expectations for the content or sound of a Supa Bwe song, which is a compliment.

His latest — “Lil Doggy” — is playful. He compares himself to a puppy because of his energy and carefree nature of perusing the music world and is, as it usually is, self-produced.

Supa’s continued working with fellow Chicagoans like Chance the Rapper, Mick Jenkins, Taylor Bennett and others this year, and I’m sure 2017 will be even more fruitful.
