The GRAMMYs are here, so usually we complain about how so-and-so got screwed out of a nomination. But I think we’ve matured to the point where we realize how little a GRAMMY means nowadays, right?

Although, we may be making advancements, largely because Chance the Rapper has been nominated for a GRAMMY Award despite not selling any of his music. And he didn’t just get nominated for one — he earned seven nominations.

Chance was nominated for: Best Rap Performance & Best Rap Song (“No Problem“), Best New Artist, Best Rap Album (Coloring Book) and he got two nominations for being featured on Kanye West’s “Ultralight Beam” (Best Rap/Sung Collaboration, Best Rap Song). It seems like he’s getting a nomination for helping write Kanye West’s “Famous,” which got nominated for Best Rap Song.

Beyoncé lead the way with nine nominations, including Album of the Year for Lemonade and Song of the Year and Record of the Year for “Formation.”

Kanye West and Drake both got nominated for Best Rap Song and Best Rap/Sung Collaboration for “Ultralight Beam” and “Hotline Bling,” respectively.

Drake’s Views is up for Album of the Year.

Rihanna also has eight nominations, including Best Urban Contemporary Album for ANTI. That category also features Beyoncé’s Lemonade, Anderson .Paak’s Malibu, Gallant’s Ology and KING’s We Are KING.

She also got a ton of nominations for “Work,” which helped Drake get some more, to.

Other people we’re ecstatic got nominations: Anderson .Paak (Best Urban Contemporary Album, Best New Artist), De La Soul (Best Rap Album), ScHoolboy Q (Best Rap Performance, Best Rap Album) D.R.A.M. (Best Rap/Sung Collboration) Bryson Tiller and Solange (Best R&B Song) and more.
