Brooklyn-reared rapper — and resident soul snatcher — DonMonique has kept a low profile following the release of her buzz-worthy debut EP Thirst Trap. Having spent that time performing (and running runways on the side), the Don Dada will return in 2017 with its follow-up, Black Kate Moss.
Slated to be released sometime in January 2017, she has released the first single from it, “On Me.” Produced by Slydes, the smooth backdrop — which samples Mýa’s “Best Of Me” — lays the foundation for DonMonique’s unapologetically hard rhymes. Then again, that dichotomy is pretty normal…
