LA rapper Ill Camille teams with citymate and buzzing R&B singer SiR in the video for her song “Almost There,” which landed on the SOS Mixtape released by Stones Throw. The song was produced by Mndsgn.
Camille and SiR walk around the streets and rooftops of their city as they reiterate that they’re just a couple extra moves away from accomplishing their next set of goals in the music world.
“The inspiration for the track came from a conversation [with] some friends about how much we experienced in the last year, to us ultimately concluding that we were closer to reaching our goals than we thought,” Camile told Mass Appeal, who premiered the video. “It’s a hopeful record. Just want everyone, the homies, my loved ones, to stay encouraged on the path so this is sort of the vibed out soundtrack for it.”
