I’m a day short of a month late on finding this song, but forgive me on account of sometimes I just suck. But here we are with Mello Music Group signee Quelle Chris‘ new single, “Buddies,” where we learn very quickly that Quelle Chris’ best friend is Quelle Chris.
“I fucks with myself,” he repeats before giving himself props. “I take myself out for drinks, myself and I lit.” Then he gets back on track: “My favorite emcee, ain’t even an argument.”
This song is really weird, and it might be difficult to listen to more than once (or even once for that matter), but I’ll be damned if I’m not for gassing yourself up every opportunity you get. If Quelle Chris was going to make one song fully about loving yourself, he sure as hell dove head first off a building knowing he’d be there to catch himself.
