SOHN is an English singer and songwriter whom you may have unknowingly ran across on the DopeHouse because of his work on BANKS’ latest album, The Altar. He’s returned with his own music now, though, sharing the video for his new song “Hard Liquor” off his upcoming Rennen EP. And what an interesting video it is.
Filmed by New York-based director Jovan Todorovic, the visual is as cinematic of an experience as you’ll get with a four-minute music video.
The black-and-white video follows a wandering man, seemingly drunk off the love of a woman, which SOHN alludes in the song. “She needs that hard liquor every day,” he sings, and the man seems drained from giving everything to her when she doesn’t seem phased at all.
