Lil Wayne tweeted last week he has three projects in ready to go: Tha Carter V (which Birdman promised will come out), Funeral and the next installment of his Gangsta Grillz series, Dedication 6. It turns out, though, Weezy has yet another album planned to come out this year called Velvet.

Looks like Wayne is ready to roll. #YoungMoney

According to Young Money president Mack Maine in an interview detailing Young Money’s plans for 2017, the label will first focus on dropping Tha Carter V. Maine also said Wayne has “a dope project called Velvet” that he’s been working on, too.

“We wanna get that Carter V out. Wayne also has a dope project called Velvet,” Maine told REVOLT. “We want to get that out. Drake dropping top of the year. Nicki got some features that — I’ve been in the studio with her lately — that she’s just killing. She also gonna be working on her solo project and she’s dropping. We also have L.A.T. which is Wayne, Gutta and HoodyBaby. … We got some shit in the chamber for y’all man. We gonna be all over your radio, all over your TV screen. If you got any problems with us, you not gonna be able to avoid us.”

So that’s four project Lil Wayne has planned to drop this year. How many of these will actually come out? That remains to be seen, but if even one comes, it’ll be the first since 2015’s No Ceilings 2.
