2017 sees the rebirth of the art of lyricism.
The story of how Jamo Gang (comprised of Ras Kass, El Gant and J57) officially formed began during a recording session in J57’s Brooklyn studio, circa late 2015.
After the two well-respected emcees laid down a few songs inspired by the instrumentals J57 played for them, the three artists quickly bonded, and with a little motivation and public support from DJ Premier, Jamo Gang was born.
Before their debut group album (featuring a cameo from Premo) is unveiled later this year, the trio give fans a taste with the heavy hitting “Here We Go Again” featuring Infamous Mobb’s Big Twins.
