Von Alexander – “Glory”

With each piece of music Milwaukee rapper Von Alexander has released over the last three years, it’s like he’s peeling back a thin layer of the onion as we get to know the inner workings of Von’s goals and aspirations in the music world. After a name change in late 2015 (he used to be called Vonny Del Fresco), he’s stuck to releasing singles after re-introducing himself with V O N.

On January 27, he’ll return with a new project, MAYHEM1993. He’s released two singles — “Pastels” and “Hard to Tell” — over the last year-plus, and he shares another, “Glory,” today.

“‘Glory’ is a song that’s about trying to standout in a place where [Von] doesn’t think he fits in,” Von said in the third-person in a press email. “Through the test of time and patience finding his potential, he takes a journey to insure himself of his confidence in the world of Hip-Hop where he desires to be a dominant factor.”
