When Curren$y dropped his 12th project of 2016, he said he was going to take a break from releasing music until April, when his next album would come out.

But this was coming from a guy who dropped a new project every month for a year straight.

Eleven days into the New Year, Spitta has already announced a project with Freddie Gibbs, and now he’ll officially get his 2017 campaign started with an EP called Jetlanta on Friday.

Named after a recent trip to Atlanta, the six-track EP will be produced by Don Cannon and Purps and feature T.Y. and CornerBoy P. And for those (including me) saying Curren$y was going to take a break? He’s way ahead of us: “It’s a collaborative effort, so don’t jump on me about my vow to chill out till album time.”

Watch Spitta talk about the EP below, and get ready for Jetlanta on Friday.
