Sampha – “(No One Knows Me) Like The Piano”

Amidst making his upcoming album Process, Sampha lost his mother. The Brit opened up about the loss in a FADER profile last year, but he most poignantly addressed the loss on a song called “(No One Knows Me) Like The Piano,” which was originally premiered on a California radio station in September.

On the surface, the song is dedicated to the piano he grew up playing in his mother’s home, but it’s also the same thing he uses to help grieve now that his mother isn’t around to listen to him play it.

The official audio of “(No One Knows Me) Like The Piano” is out now, and it will land on Process, which you can pre-order on iTunes. The album is out February 3.
