Just a couple days after winning multiple Golden Globes for his work making and starring in Atlanta, it was announced Donald Glover has signed an overall production deal with FX.

He’ll create, produce and write others shows outside of Atlanta for the network, similar to Louis C.K.’s deal after his success with Louie — another one of FX’s highly regarded comedies.

According to The Hollywood Reporter, the second season of Atlanta won’t come until 2018, though, due to Glover’s schedule playing Lando Calrissian in the upcoming Star Wars Han Solo movie. It was renewed for a second season in the middle of the first season in September.

“Donald is a remarkable artist, effortlessly shifting from actor to writer, producer, director and musician to create one amazing project after another,” Nick Grad of FX Productions told THR. “Atlanta was just the beginning, the breakout comedy of the year and a series revered as much for its originality as its honest look at the experience of being aspiring, young and black in that legendary city. We’re proud to partner with Donald in an overall deal that will allow him to continue turning his creative vision into incredible television.”
