Mach Hommy is a member of the Griselda Records family, home of New York’s dual firecrackers Westside Gunn and Conway. That influence is seeping out of the pores of his Alchemist-produced single, “Brand Name.”
Another installment of Al’s Craft Singles series, the darkly sinister track is one of the greasiest, grimiest tracks of this young 2017 thus far, and Mach effortlessly skates over Alan’s production. They even brought in the legendary mixer Eddie Sancho to give the song that neck-snapping, scrunchy-faced “oomph” as well.
It’ll be difficult to not to play this song more than once.
