Taunton, MA-based artist Jazzmyn RED may be new to the scene, but she’s already carved out her own niche and lane of positivity-inspired Hip-Hop, as heard on her last single “Positive Vibes Only.”

Sure, the phrase is pretty played out, and reads as a bio for every SJW on Instagram, but Jazzmyn rightfully sticks to her guns, and the theme.

Today, Jazzmyn, who cites artists such as Tupac, Lauryn Hill, and Queen Latifah as inspiration delivers her new album where she is purposefully Writing HERstory over an amalgamation of Hip-Hop, neo-soul and R&B — while maintaining that if it wasn’t for her dear friend Carlos “Loko Los” Rivera, who sadly passed away in November of 2016, she would have entirely quit the music business.

As she states in her press release: “He pushed me to my limits and never allowed me to give up on music, or myself. For that he’ll always be family,” continuing “If it wasn’t for him finding me all those years ago I wouldn’t have accomplished any of this.”
