93,000,000 miles away, yet so close to home.

The beautiful Maya Angelou was once quoted as poetically stating: “To describe my mother would be to write about a hurricane in its perfect power. Or the climbing, falling colors of a rainbow,” as pulled from her powerful autobiography I Know Why the Caged Bird Sings.

Los Angeles rhymesayer Sahtyre knows the strength of his mother, and after taking nearly an entire year off from releasing new material, he returns in 2017 with his first offering, the beautiful, spellbinding single “Momma’s Sun.”

Says the Los Angeles artist:

The sins of the mother are to be laid upon the children. Despite our differences, I’ve grown to realize how similar to my Mom I can be. At times I make questionable decisions, as we all do, but I accept that every choice leading up to now has molded me into the person I am today. In this way, my world cycles before my very eyes the same as the Earth revolves around the Sun.
