Terrace Martin quietly released some beautiful music in 2016, with his Velvet Portraits project. For those that missed out, however, he revisits the project with a video for “Oakland” with Lalah Hathaway.
An ode to the city once referred to as the “Bright Side of the Bay,” the video is a dedication to one of the most culturally enriching cities in America. With Lalah’s soulful coos balancing out Terrace’s jazzy saxophone, the APlus Filmz-directed visual can be seen below.
