Detroit funk/jazz collective Will Sessions made waves back in 2011 when they released their joint album with Elzhi, Elmatic, a live rendition of Nas 1994 classic Illmatic, celebrated by heads everywhere, eventually leading to the release of an instrumental version of the album.
Now, the Detroit outfit will release a new 7″ record tomorrow, Friday, Jan. 26th backed with “7 Mile” and drop by with a taste of some delectable funk alongside legendary funk musician Joseph “Amp” Fiddler, who has played in both Parliament and Funkadelic and has also collaborated with J Dilla in the past.
