A protégé of Janelle Monáe, Jidenna has been one of the DopeHouse’s favorite artists since he made his debut with “Classic Man” in 2015. Since then he landed a Grammy nomination for the single and has appeared in shows such as Netflix’ Luke Cage and HBO’s Insecure.

After releasing the Quavo-guested single “The Let Out,” Jidenna has announced the release date for his long-in-the-works debut album Long Live The Chief.

With a brief, yet extravagantly grandiose, trailer, Jidenna travels to his second home of Nigeria and receives a king’s welcome from the locals before revealing the due date: February 17th.
