Khalid has showed up on the DopeHouse a couple times this week, breaking down lyrics from his smash hit “Location” and appearing as the subject in a documentary from The FADER. He returns once again with a new song called “Shot Down.”

“Shot Down,” which will serve as the sixth single from his upcoming debut album American Teen following “Location,” “Saved,” “Coaster,” “Hopeless” and “Let’s Go,” was the gorgeous song Khalid was singing at the end of The FADER documentary while he talked about his mother.

“You take me to places I’ve never known, and you push me to places I’d never go, I would die for you,” he sings on the dedication to love, which seems far more direct and committed than a song like “Location.”

Listen to “Shot Down” below, and pre-order American Teen on iTunes.
