Proudly representing the South Side of Chicago, rapper/producer/engineer iLL Brown (of TeamBackPack) prefers to take the back role, letting his music speak for him.

The talented triple threat has laid down buttery smooth tracks for the likes of Slim Thug, Casey Veggies, Kid Daytona, Malik Yusef, Bun B, Dom Kennedy — just to name a few.

The gifted producer is now gearing up to release his new EP, Don’t Forget The Dope which will be compile a string of unreleased material from a few of the aforementioned artists above, set for a fall 2017 release.

Today, we’re proud to world premiere the first single off the upcoming EP: “Friends,” which pools the talents of Freddie Gibbs, G-Wiz and BJ The Chicago Kid — the latter who interpolates Whodini’s song of the same name, while Gangsta Gibbs and G-Wiz wax poetic about two-faced former confidant and friends who were lost to the streets.
