Vince Staples teased that he’d drop something last week, and it turned out to be his new single, the hard-hitting “BagBak.” It also turns out its the first single from his upcoming sophomore album that will drop “very soon,” according to Pitchfork.
The Summertime ’06 follow-up — which doesn’t have a name just yet — will probably be released before or at the start of his The Life Aquatic tour, which begins February 24.
According to the report from Pitchfork, people who bought the VIP package for the tour will get the album emailed to them when it drops. They’ll also get a physical CD mailed to them.
Staples dropped his Prima Donna EP last year as a buffer (albeit an incredible one) between his two albums.
