Since Gucci Mane has been released from prison in May 2016, he has turned over a new leaf with a newfound work ethic, healthier lifestyle and — most importantly — putting his past behind. He even ended his years long beef with Rocko recently.

However, there is one person Gucci hasn’t quite patched things up with: arguably one of his most successful protégés, Waka Flocka. Flocka would speak to BBC1 Radio’s Charlie Sloth about things in a lengthy interview, and as expected their issues haven’t been resolved.

While with DJ Whoo Kid, Waka spoke on a song he is soon releasing titled “Was My Dawg.” In it, he explains his and Gucci’s history, and where things are now. Essentially, Waka says that there will never be a reunion album with Gucci, and that things may never be patched up as they haven’t talked since 2012.

“Was My Dawg” will be released on Wednesday (Feb. 8th).
